One fact many consumers do not realize about the peanut butter/paste recall occurring right now is that it does NOT apply to most major brands of jarred peanut butter found in your grocery store. The FDA and CDC have traced the source of contamination to a plant owned by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA). The recall applies to a limited amount of food products containing peanut butter or peanut butter paste like cakes, cookies, crackers, candies, cereal and ice cream.
