The Best Chili, Ever

Saturday afternoon Tom will prepare the best batch of vegetarian chili you have ever tasted at the Capital City Chili Cook-off. In addition to warm and delicious chili, there will also be lots of entertainment and fresh vegetables at the Farmers’ Market. Terrie and I will also be there telling everyone about our beloved Fresh from Florida Kids program and looking for parents to recruit :).
I can’t tell you Tom’s special ingredient (I’ll post the recipe after the competition), but here are some other interesting suggestions I found:
- dried lavendar
- dried anise
- vanilla extract
So I’m wondering, do you have a favorite ingredient or technique that makes your chili stand out?
