This next trivia question is related to Florida seafood so we are giving away a GO NATIVE! t-shirt. Are you familiar with the program? It was created to help consumers easily identify seafood that is from Florida. The mascot is this cool fish that’s on the shirt.

Question: Over Labor Day weekend, Dave and his crew of fishermen set several stone crab traps in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida’s coast. The next day, they returned to harvest the claws. They took the claws that were at least 2 inches long to sell, and returned the stone crabs to the sea.
What, if anything, has Dave done wrong?
-Update, March 6, 2009: Congratulations to Abbie and Alex who provided the correct answers. It was the wrong time of year to be harvesting stone crab claws, and he took claws that were shorter than allowed (2 3/4 in.).
