Find the “Yum” with Seasonal Ingredients

Today I pulled up the link on our website to find out what Florida produce and seafood items are in season.  It looks like avocados, cantaloupes, mangoes, okra, oranges, potatoes, tomatoes and watermelons are out in full force this week.  The seafood items are blue crab, clams, flounder, grouper, oysters, shrimp, red snapper, swordfish and tuna.

Wondering what to make of all this information, I just did a search on our recipe link to find out some new meal ideas.  How wonderful to find the Florida Avocado and Blue Crab Salad recipe!  It doesn’t take many ingredients and it looks yummy.

One of my favorite foods is chicken.  I was pleased to find this recipe for Savory Tomato-Basil Chicken on our website as well.  It is so easy to make – just throw some fresh ingredients into a blender, spread over the chicken and bake.  Check it out:

So what’s my point?  Well, just that in a few moments surfing our website I was able to find out what’s in season from Florida and easy recipes for those commodities.  Delicious food doesn’t have to be fancy, complicated or time-consuming; it just starts with using great ingredients and mixing them with things you like.

However you like your food, take advantage of what’s fresh from Florida and find the “yum!”
