FAPC Member Spotlight: Strong Tower Vineyard & Winery
|August 3, 2010||Posted by admin under FAPC, Wine|
Florida isn’t known for wine… yet. But one day soon, hopefully we will be. We’ve got a lot of great wineries in Florida, including Strong Tower Vineyard & Winery located in Spring Hill, Florida. (That’s a little north of Tampa.)
Strong Tower began in 2001 when they planted their first vines. The Winery officially opened in 2007. They offer quite a few types of wine including: reds, whites, blushes, blueberry and blackberry. Ranging from dry to semi-sweet to even sweeter dessert wines, I’m sure you are bound to find one you like.
Their wines are truly estate grown and produced – all of their grape and blackberry wines are processed from their start in the vineyard to bottled and labeled right there at their winery. They believe their small size and old world philosophy is instrumental in producing delicious wines. At various International Wine Competitions they have received Gold, Double Gold and Silver awards.
If you enjoy wine tastings, feel free to stop by their wine shop and sample some of their wines. They also provide tours of their processing facilities. Private tastings and events also can be arranged. Just give them a call to set something up.
Here’s their contact information – go and support a great Florida agribusiness!
