The event, sponsored by the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce, will feature roasted oysters, oyster on the half shell, creamy artichoke, oyster and thyme soup, fresh local shrimp, blue crabs, salad greens and scratch cakes.  “If you love seafood, this is the event for you,” says Anita Grove, Executive Director of the Chamber. The event takes place in downtown Apalachicola woven in the lush surroundings of The Garden Shop on Commerce Street.  Local blues man Joe Hutchinson will provide live entertainment. For tickets call (850) 653-9419 or email info@apalachicolabay.org

Apalachicola Bay oysters are recognized by top chefs as some of the best oysters in the country, noted for their mellow flavor, plumpness and balanced saltiness.  Apalachicola Bay, with its warm shallow water fed by the fresh water of the Apalachicola River, and undeveloped shorelines provide an excellent environment for oysters.  More than 90% of Florida’s oyster and 10% of the nation’s oysters come from Apalachicola Bay.
