Winter Park Publix Grand Opening

The Publix on Aloma Avenue in Winter Park will have its Grand Opening on Thursday, November 18 at 8:00 a.m. The store address is 2295 Aloma Avenue, east of Lakemont and west of Semoran/SR 436. It is actually a grand reopening of the Publix that has been there for years, but with a complete makeover.
I had the chance to walk through the store today and check out the new produce displays (yes, this kind of thing makes me happy). There will be a new misting system to keep produce hydrated and a large organic section is in the front of the produce department. They’ve also incorporated cards above some items introducing customers to the farmer who grew the produce. It is a beautiful store!
If you get a chance to go to the opening, it looks like they will be giving away reusable grocery bags in “Publix green,” as well as other special giveaway opportunities. While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the Redland Raised yellow squash, zucchini and green beans!
