The Hopeful Gardener Sees Fun Things

It is amazing what a little sunshine and rain can do for plants. The afternoon showers in Central Florida have contributed to the quick growth of my newly-planted garden, and it is exciting to see the changes in just over a week.
Both the Yellow Teardrop and the Sweet 100 plants have yellow flowers already! The Black Prince is getting ready to sprout some flowers and the Big Beefsteak, although it is the smallest at this point, is growing nicely. The jalapeno has some extra leaf and possibly bud growth. It is my first pepper plant, so I’m learning as I go. The cilantro is doing well enough that I can harvest some at any point, so all is well in Hopeful Gardener land.
Here’s a photo I took this morning on my way out the door. Compare it to the first photo and see how much has happened in the 10 days since I planted my newest crop!
