| October 26, 2011 | Posted by Sarah under Kids, Nutrition |
Great news for all of our teachers out there! The Florida Department of Education is excited to announce that the next book for elementary students in its Literacy League book club encourages healthy eating. The Secret Life of Mitch Spinach by Florida authors Hillary Feerick and Jeff Hillenbrand encourages children to eat vegetables.
Each quarter, a book is selected and students are then able to submit questions via email or video for the authors to answer through a recorded video. Videos are posted on the Department’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/educationfl. Files are also available. Student questions about The Secret Life of Mitch Spinach are due by Dec. 16. Questions can be submitted to literacyleague@fldoe.org.
FREE books are available, but supplies are limited. Contact hillaryfeerick@mitchspinach.com today to get some for your school! For discounted book packages, visit www.mitchspinach.com. Books are also available at www.amazon.com.
