Long & Scott Farms, a “Fresh from Florida” member in the Central Florida community of Zellwood, was featured in an article in the “Orlando Sentinel” today. The story touches on how the farm allowed social service organizations to grow turnips on the farm during the winter season.
In addition to assisting organizations by donating food to the community, Long & Scott now has a cafe that is open Tuesday through Saturday. Check out some of the yummy foods they’ve created using many locally grown products.
The Long & Scott retail market is open through June from 6:30am to 6:00pm Tuesday-Saturday. If you’re in Central Florida and looking for farm-fresh produce and value-added items like jams and jellies, take a trip over to Zellwood and visit this “Fresh from Florida” agribusiness. Don’t forget to pick up some delicious Zellwood sweet corn!
