Florida 4-H Legislature’s 40th Anniversary Alumni Celebration
| June 7, 2012 | Posted by Arlette under Kids |
One of the most prominent programs in Florida 4-H is Florida 4H Legislature. Through this program, Senior 4-H’ers get an opportunity take part in hands-on civic education as they develop debate skills, analyze legislation and speak publically on issues pertaining to Florida government. To mark the event’s 40th anniversary, the Florida 4-H Youth Development Program is hosting the first “Ledj” alumni gathering, June 28-29 in Tallahassee.
At noon on Thursday, June 28, attendees will view the final hours of the 2012 “Ledj” session, expected to end at 3:30 p.m. with closing ceremonies. That evening, alumni may join current 4-H’ers at the 2012 “Ledj” formal banquet in the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center; tickets are available at the registration website. There will also be a luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. June 29 at the Double Tree Hotel to honor founders and leaders of the “Ledj” event. All 4-H alumni are invited; “Ledj” experience is not required but registration is encouraged.
