This year, the 2012 National Association of Extension 4-H Agents will be hosted by the Florida 4-H Youth Development Program and will be held in Orlando, Florida from October 21 – 25. Over 1400 Extension 4-H Agents from around the country will come to Florida to soak up great professional development opportunities through outstanding speakers, engaging seminars and research workshops at the beautiful Hilton in Walt Disney World. In addition, they will spend a day touring different agricultural, natural and cultural resources of Florida.
The “Taste of Florida” event held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 6-10 PM will provide an opportunity for attendees to reconnect with friends and colleagues and discover the vast diversity of Florida natural and agricultural resources. The goal is to celebrate Florida’s culture, history and agriculture through good food, fun and music.
Agriculture commodity groups, educational organization, historians, local artisans, and artists, are invited to represent our state as a “Taste of Florida” exhibitor. Those interested should contact Chris DeCubellis at (352) 463-3174 or email: cdecube@ufl.edu
