Farm-City Week Brings Awareness
|November 13, 2012||Posted by Melissa under Agriculture, Events, Farms|
National Farm-City Week is November 16-22. The Farm-City movement was created to link farmers with those in urban communities, and to educate city dwellers about the people who grow their food.
Several counties throughout Florida participate by hosting Farm-City Week events, ranging from dinners to formal programs to farm tours. You can find out about some of these events by checking the Florida Farm Bureau Federation and the University of Florida’s IFAS/Extension websites.
Wherever you live, we encourage you to learn more about how your food is produced!
