If you are in Central Florida this weekend and looking for something to do, stop by Long & Scott’s Farm in Mount Dora for Scott’s 2015 Zellwood Sweet Corn Jamboree. In addition to sampling delicious Zellwood sweet corn, farm visitors will have the opportunity to check out food and craft vendors, and hear exciting musical acts as they perform over the weekend.
The event is Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 7:00 p.m. both days. Admission is $12 at the door for adults and $8 for kids, but if you order online in advance, adults pay only $10. Two ears of sweet corn are included with every admission! For more information about the event, check out www.longandscottfarms.com/jamboree.html.
Long & Scott Farms has been in operation for more than 50 years, growing corn, cabbage, and pickles (cucumbers destined to become pickles). In the fall the farm hosts a corn maze, and has a seasonal farm market, but this weekend is all about the Jamboree!
