Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference 2012
The Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference will be held July 27-29, 2012 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida. This annual event provides educational and networking opportunities to Florida producers.
Through workshops, presentations and exhibits, attendees are able to learn about the latest trends in farming, marketing, government regulations, and alternative energy, as well as other farm-related topics. In addition to these activities, the livestock pavilion will feature Florida producers showcasing their livestock.
One of the highlights for attendees is the opportunity to sample Florida fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy items and value-added products during the Friday night reception, Saturday luncheon, and breaks throughout the conference.
The Department will be on hand to meet with attendees. The divisions represented will include Marketing and Development (Bureau of Agricultural Dealer Licenses, Bureau of Development and Information), and Food, Nutrition and Wellness.
