Are you looking for a family fun event? Is your family part of the 99% of the U.S. population that is not allergic to peanuts? Well, look no further! The 24th Annual Central Florida Peanut Festival is being held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Williston, FL.
The peanut festival was founded in 1989 and is hosted on the first Saturday in October. It is held in Williston, FL, which is located about 20 miles south of Gainesville, at the Williston Heritage Park. The festival features many family friendly events from rides, crafts, music, and information booths to a beauty pageant for infants and children up to 6 years old – where you’ll find out who gets crowned next in The Little Peanut Royal Family. Attendees will be able to purchase peanuts in all varieties – baked, fried, boiled, roasted or plain. Assorted local talent will also be performing.
